Great Distracted Will: Inspiration takes many forms [Episode 20634]

Ranma had become somewhat enlightened.

Of course, that was like a little bit pregnant. It had a tendency to grow on you.

So Ranma was deciding that he didn't want to be a god. Or a powerful sorcerer. What he wanted was to take himself out of the vast wellspring of negative karma that was the Anything Goes school and do something Great with his life.

He'd decided on superhero as a career track, particularly if what he could see as likely were going to occur. Saffron, it seemed, was on the verge of godhood - but not quite. Others, some more evil, some well intentioned but disastrous, were out there.

He could by taking up the mantle of hero - not only prove his own existence, but make the suffering of his own life worth it because he would have accomplished so much. He could become something other than the center of blame and confusion and chaos. He could become his own person, by his own choice, and master a destiny of his own choosing.

So the inspiration he drew on for the new Ranma was:
